U109 – Website refused to connect

If you encounter the error message "[website] refused to connect", in the context of BookWidgets it usually means that the website you're trying to embed doesn't allow embedding.

Website embedding can be a great tool, but not all websites allow it. For The reasons for such a decision may vary. If you encounter this issue, the selected website can't be embedded in BookWidgets or any other website.

The only way to use this website in BookWidgets is to add it as a hyperlink, so that students can click it and the website is opened in a new tab or window. To add a clickable URL, use the link/chain icon in the text editor bar of your input field:
