U025 – Is there a BookWidgets API?

BookWidgets offers an interface for seamless integration into other systems (Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems, websites,…) via the Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) 1.0 standard ( https://www.imsglobal.org/activity/learning-tools-interoperability).
Advantages of integrating via LTI are:
  • LTI is standardized and documented;
  • LTI is powerful, enabling seamless integration of all parts of the BookWidgets flow;
  • LTI has been widely adopted, and is already available in most LMS systems;
  • Implementing LTI in a tool consumer system is straightforward.
