U102 – Additional permissions for Microsoft Teams

Starting August 1, 2024, BookWidgets will request the following additional permissions when signing in to BookWidgets using a Microsoft account:

  • Team.ReadBasic.All: Read the names and descriptions of teams

This permission will make it possible to further improve the BookWidgets integration with Teams, and makes it possible to improve security by removing the request for broader permissions than BookWidgets currently uses.

Because permission changes typically need to be approved by system administrators, we are requesting Microsoft administrators to grant these permissions in advance by visiting this link.

Granting permissions in advance using the above link will avoid users being blocked from signing in to BookWidgets using their Microsoft account on August 1, 2024.
