U075 – My widget title won't update

You're in the widget editor. You modify the widget title in the top left. You now look at the preview, but the old name is still there. What's going on?

There are several types of widget titles:

  • the working title in the top-left corner of the widget editor;
  • (for most widgets): Title/Reporting > Widget identification > Widget name;
  • (for some widgets): General > Title.

If you find that the title displayed as the header, when viewing the widget in preview mode or when viewed by a student, does not match the working title, then check whether your widget has a value for any of the latter two title types. Either modify the title there, or remove it. If you remove the title, then the working title will be displayed by default.
