U032 – Send failed – Quiz results not accepted. Invalid user name
BookWidgets can only submit answers to email addresses which are tied to a BookWidgets account, and for which the owner of the mailbox has agreed to receive student answers.
The error message is related to the widget setting Reporting > Submission form date > Teacher ID. When it comes to this setting, there are possibilities for determining who the recipient of a widget's submissions will be:
- You disable the checkboxes Visible and Editable while in the Default text input field, you provide either the addressee's BookWidgets username, or the email address of the corresponding BookWidgets account.
- You enable the checkboxes Visible and Editable and the students provide their teacher's username or email address when they submit.
In either of the above scenarios, the following conditions must be met:
- A BookWidgets account must exist for the username or email address provided.
- The account settings of this account may not have blocked the option to receive student answers.
To verify the latter on your BookWidgets account, go to Account settings and scroll to the section Student work.
Below the headers Student work and Survey and Exit Slip results, at least one of the boxes must be checked.
If you have preconfigured your account's email address or students fill in your account's email address as the recipient of the submissions, then also the option Receive submissions for [email address] must be enabled. Otherwise, only your account's username is accepted as a valid value.
